Yeah yeah yeah, the !K Club has moved yet again, ever questing the ultimate BASSment we’re now based downstairs in Le Cirk on Dame St. To celebrate this joyous occassion, we’ve got a special night of treats lined up. All the way from Chicago comes !Kaboogie veteran MURDERBOT, his third gig for us in the last few years, PLUS, all the way from PHIBSBOROUGH, the mighty T-WOC, who shall be launching his new ‘Father’ 7”, out now on All City Records. More info on each of the guys below. The !Kaboogie Residents will be kicking things off from 8.30pm, and we will be rollin till 2.30, so ye might as well get a sick note for Friday arranged in advance. Still free in as well, WOOP!

Murderbot

Chrissy Murderbot is a DJ, producer, and record label head honcho living in Chicago, working across the juke-dub-ghetto-bass-house-disco-rave-step spectrum.

Since getting started as a DJ in 1995, he’s played at over 400 events in more than 15 countries, alongside legends like Juan Atkins, 4Hero, Plaid, The Bug, Phil Hartnoll (Orbital), Ghislain Poirier, Aux88, Mark 1, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, DJ SS, Legowelt, Remarc, Bizzy B, Kid606, Pinch, and more.

2009 saw Chrissy release a 2LP and 5 EPs, in addition to remixes for Hostage (Nightshifters), Pirate Soundsystem (WIDE Records), Mestizo (Seclusiasis), Bobby Braun (Sleazetone), Ssion (Sleazetone), Larytta (Creaked) and others. Forthcoming projects for 2010 include 2 EPs of bootleg re-edits, another new album, and remixes for Hakan Lidbo (Tigerbeat6), Andrew WK / Thurston Moore (Monotype), and Noise Floor Crew (Brooklyn Fire).

In addition to DJing, production, and running Sleazetone Records, Chrissy runs a mixtape-a-week music blog, My Year of Mixtapes (http://yearofmixtapes.blogspot.com), which receives over 10,000 hits per week.

T-Woc

T-Woc has released records on the Alphabet Set label which he is involved in and All City which he isn’t. He builds his tunes mostly from samples from his ever growing record collection, some analogue kit and a pc. He lives on the north side of the Liffey where the pubs are plentiful and the neighbours don’t mind the racket.

T-Woc’s !K Club appearance will see him rockin a live set to celebrate the launch of his new ‘Father’ record for All City. Should be some copies available on the night too!
