PRINCE KONG with MC RODRIGO & LADY GREW

Prince Kong is a man on a mission to blow up the dance! With releases on Middle Management and Alphabet Set, as well as being featured on both !Kaboogie label samplers, Kong is a prolific producer whose incendiary live shows are earning him a reputation on the Irish underground party scene. Kong has been mixin up the breakcore buzz with a more ragga-grime twang lately. He has worked with Warrior Queen and Jah Balance, and has a forthcoming !Kaboogie EP featuring among others, the vocal talents of MC Rodrigo and Lady Grew who’ll be tearing up the stage with him at this gig. Not to be missed!

DROKKR

Drokkr is from Cork, Ireland. He has producing Dubstep for a little under a year. He has 1 release to date on Stupid Fly Records, but has E.P.s on the way on Stupid Fly, Betamorph and on Bass Clash. He performs his music LIVE using Abelton, a Korg Klectribe(sometimes), a midi controller and a few other bits depending on what way the latest evolution of the set is going. 2009 has already been very good to DROKKR, let’s see what the rest of the year brings…

Also headin’ up from down south to play is The Optimist, who has blown us away with his slick production on tracks like Lilly Hammer and the absolutely bangin’ Devil The Bit, both of which can be downloaded from his myspazz page. Expect big things outta this chap!

Notoriously Gorgeous

Straight outta Leixlip, in a whirlwind of bling, sleaze and bass comes Notoriously Gorgeous, the man who puts the K in !Kaboogie. His sets and mixes have been described as being “about as dubstep as you can possibly get”. On his first !Kaboogie mix, “Life After Debt (Recession Riddims)” he bombards us with fat bass, reggae vocals, sharp synths, 2-step, and the crunchiest riddims you can afford in a recession! But this sound ain’t no Tesco value ting, this is Finest for sure!

RONAN DUNNE

Durty bass heavy tech step filth. Expect a dancefloor frenzy during this chap’s Dj set. Ronan has whipped up a frenzy for us on many memorable nights such as in the !Kaboogie tent at the last Mantua Festival, and in the soon to be relocated !K Club. One of your last chances to catch him live before he gets stolen from us by a Dutch college!
