Having shared a split 10” in All City’s ace LA series, with none other than Carlos Nino and released one of the years best 12"s in The Xpander EP on his own Gifted and Blessed label, we’re pleased to have Gabriel Reyes Whittaker aka GB join us for a !K Club show. This cat makes all sorts of dope tunes from spaced out electro to dusty house and therapeutic mood music, all done on a veritable mad professor’s array of analog gear, which he should have a portion of in tow when he hits these shores as part of his European tour.

FRANKIE BINGO (float)

Frankie Bingo is 21 year-old producer and dj Frank Sweeney from Dublin who makes luscious tracks with nods to dubstep, garage and UK funky. His music recalls the likes of Mount Kimbie, James Blake and Burial. He is a resident at Mr Jones nights in Twisted Pepper and recently launched a new twice monthly club called Float which takes place in Twisted Pepper and in Tripod with a variety of garage, UK funky, grime and dubstep being played.

Having blown us away with quality productions like ‘Cold Without You’ and ‘Lumiere’, we just had to get him down for a !K Club set.

DEFEKT (takeover recordings)

Defekt has been honing his sound for a few years now, getting great reactions from anyone who’s had the pleasure of hearing, and feeling, one of his live sets.
His recently released album “Stimulus” on Takeover has a stripped down sci-fi feel to it, warmed by the use of analogue equipment and modular synthesis. It’s a whopper listen from start to finish for any lovers of drum machines and synthetic sounds beautifully melded and has been getting great reviews from all sorts of peeps including Aux 88 and Dexorcist.
