Point B - Biography

Point B is the creation of Merseyside born Richard Bultitude. Since the days of his experimental four track recordings Richard has come a long way, both musically and geographically. Now residing in London, Richard has a large range of electronic and semi acoustic music for commercial release and broadcast.

Live performances have taken him far and wide in recent years, highlights include Algorhythm (Barcelona), Lost in Motion (Brussels), Alt-Ctrl (London) and Bloc weekender (Norfolk, UK). He has played alongside the likes of Andy Weatherall, Tipper and Lusine and received much praise from both peers and listeners for his engaging performances.

His sound has always had two distinct sides, moving from warm electronica (as with the After Burns ep) to solid bass driven electro (as with the Orson records releases). This meant that his music could be appreciated both on the dancefloor and in the bedroom. Featuring on two high profile compilations (one complied by Ivan Smagghe and the other Damien Lazarus) raised his profile yet further. His debut album gave him the chance to deliver his more personal sounds into the ether and was released on SCSI in 2006.

Having absorbed the contagious rhythms of Brixton and surrounding South London his sound has evolved into a dubstep/garage/electro hybrid. Most recently he has produced an ep and remixes for the dark and grimey Combat Recordings imprint. For more information please visit:
